Oct 26: On a Homecoming
The haze remained an almighty pain in the ass.
The KL Marathon was touch-and-go right up until the last minute. It eventually went ahead, but it was an awful run given my lack of training.

Ultimately, that turned out to be my last outdoor run for a while because the haze got even worse.
Desperate to run, I signed up for a gym membership.
Clearly, I didn’t think that through.
I was assigned a personal trainer who wasn’t very impressed by my strength. I could tell by his disappointed look when my legs started shaking on the sixth rep of whatever the hell I was doing.
No matter, because when you start from the bottom, things can only go upwards.

The family trip to Penang was good. On our last day, we finally saw clear blue skies for the first time in ages.

I got sent to UTP for work. It was a full-circle moment.
Exactly two decades ago, I met my current boss for the first time during orientation week. This time I was accompanying him as part of his office. That was kinda cool.
UTP looks even better now than it did back then. Not just the university itself, but the surrounding towns too. It’s a lot livelier than I remember, but then again, it’s been 16 years since I spent a night there.

Anyway, a few days ago the sky was so clear that one could spot Genting up in the faraway hills. May this sort of weather continue for a long time.
OK, I'll wrap up now. Just a couple of footnotes before I close:
1. Manchester United? Depressing.
2. My cholesterol level? Out of control.
3. Kakak's rugby career? Over. She's into dancing now.
That's it for now.
