Apr 26: On Everything, Everywhere All At Once
I’ll keep this short. In April:
The last bits of Syawal came and went.

We visited the upgraded Dataran Merdeka. It looks really good these days. Unlike some of the city's other vibrant night spots, this one had a more local feel to it.
+
Adik started school. She resisted for a very long time, but she’s finally there. She has settled well, though, so I am both happy and proud of her.
+
Kakak was overheard asking why she didn’t have a big sister to guide her when she started school. As an eldest child myself, I could relate.
+
Kakak also had her sukaneka. I’m pleased to report she is rapid for her age. But I think we've already sort of established that.
+
My earphones stopped working. I got it as a gift from my close friends years back, and it has been with me through literally everything. It stopped working after I went on a lengthy training run in a thunderstorm. You will be missed.
I ran the Cybercity half-marathon this year. I usually feel sluggish the first run after Ramadan. This was no different.
I attended my first annual general meeting. I’ve only just learned that there’s a class of people who go around attending AGMs for the gifts and free lunches. I found that quite amusing.

We went hours without electricity on a particularly warm night amidst a heatwave. Something exploded, and firefighters had to be dispatched to put out the fire, but TNB took hours (and dozens of calls) to restore the electricity. A bunch of us neighbours were hanging out on the street in our jammies at 3 in the morning. It’s the first time I’ve ever met any of them.
