Aug 25: On Just A Bit of Everything

I dislike public speaking.

It doesn’t help that my definition of “public” starts at 3 pax or more.

Yet, there was plenty of that this month (actually just two, if anyone's counting).

Thankfully, no one really listened to either, so I suppose that makes it better.

The highlight of the month was my brother-in-law getting married.

In his two weeks of being a husband I reckon he’s already had more freedom than I’ve ever had in ten years – the lucky bugger.

It was good to see my parents though, even if it was only for a brief while. Perhaps that explains why I'm beaming like a complete idiot in the picture.

Anyway, one of the more interesting places we visited this month was the community park at Bukit Jelutong. There were more people and animals than I expected there to be.

The kids enjoyed it.

From a technological standpoint, my Pixel went to hell, so I had to get a new phone.

It's been a long time since I've had a new phone, but being without a Pixel for the first time in a while makes me miss the vanilla Android experience.

At work, the organisation is rolling out a manpower exercise that looks good on paper but is being executed ridiculously, in my opinion.

I’ve stopped trying to figure out my place in it. I’ll deal with whatever comes my way, as always.

Somewhere in between all that, I managed to fit in a half-marathon - the last before I attempt a full one soon (assuming my toenail infection allows me to).

I should make it a point to only be photographed when directly under white streetlights because it makes me look like a whole different person.

Lastly, the Premier League has started again. Once again, I let Manchester United decide the state of my mental health on a weekly basis.

It’s not going well so far.

So that’s been life for me recently. Fingers crossed this month goes smoothly.
