Nov 24: On The Curse of the White Shoe
A snake popped up in our house. Thank God for bibik because I wasn't going to get rid of it. Don't know what we'll do without her.
This was the absolute closest I was going to it (behind the safety of a door) |

That weekend, we went back to Ipoh. It's always good to see my mum.
I also had to send my sister off to the airport, which marked the first time I've been to Ipoh's airport since 2019 (it's about the size of a big room at the KL Convention Centre, if anyone's wondering).
We also visited the Silverlakes Premium Outlets. The place was really nice but there weren't many shops open which was quite a shame. I think it has potential to be so much more.

I intended to close out the year with a sub-2:00 half-marathon but it was not meant to be. Started cramping badly at around the 15km mark and my timing fell off a cliff. By the last 2km I could barely walk, let alone run.
It rained throughout the run, too. It always seems to rain when I wear my white shoes.
One of only two photos where I didn't look like I was dying |
I take great comfort that I was only slightly over the 2:00 mark despite limping for the final third. I'll be back next year.

I experienced being stranded on a ledge inside Pavilion Bukit Damansara when water flooded the pathway. I eventually waded through the water. On my way out, I attempted to unclog a drain that I assume was causing the flood. No idea if it worked but I consider that my good deed for the month.

Donated blood for the second (or maybe third) time in my life. May it be useful to someone out there.

Ruben Amorim arrived as the new manager of Manchester United.
My daughter thinks I look like him, but I think it's just because of the moustache.
On a serious note, please make Man United great again. I really don't want my first visit to Old Trafford to be horrible. And I'm also tired of watching us play like Perak v2.
And that's it. My last post for 2024.
I'm off to Korea for a bit, and then there'll only be 3 weeks left of the year. See you in 2025 (if Allah wills it).
