Oct 24: On Little Wins, Learning Moments and Changes
After all these years, I finally watched Harrison Ford's The Fugitive from start to finish. I must have watched the ending dozens of times over the years, but never the whole thing. I also finally got around to No Time To Die. It was okay, but let’s just say the ending didn’t sit quite right with me (I mean, how on Earth do you kill off James Bond?)
On the health front, underwent my bi-yearly health checkup. Alhamdulillah for a (relatively) clean bill of health.
Running-wise, I completed the Standard Chartered 10K again and managed to shave 14 minutes off my time compared to last year. It's quite the indictment on how much I let myself go.
I have one last run coming up, then I’m calling it a year.
Did a spring cleaning of my social media. This was sparked by a colleague’s amused reaction to finding out all my profiles were public. So, they're all private now – though I suppose anyone who comes across this blog will still know what I'm up to.
At work, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck, especially after seeing what some of my friends are up to. But if I take a step back and reflect, I do suppose things aren’t all bad. I reckon this is a consequence of spending too much time on social media.
In the sporting world, Manchester United finally sacked Erik ten Hag. It's been quite apparent for a while that he wasn't the right person. Hoping for better times ahead. Still plan to go Old Trafford some day soon and I'd like us to at least be better than Perak if I'm ever there.
In a nutshell, I guess my October was a mix of little wins, learning moments, and changes. Til' the next one, which will probably be my last for 2024 (!).
