After a one-year hiatus from jogging, you'd think I'd take it easy and go a short distance right? Naw, not me. Being the champion sportsman I am, I went for 2.6km straight away.
Within the first 300 meters I was already huffing and puffing like nobody's business.
Around the 500 meter mark my legs began to wobble like jelly.
By the time I reached the first kilometre I was ready to stop and go back home to have a lie down.
By the time I reached the second kilometre I lagged so far behind that my housemates were nowhere to be seen.
And by the time I reached the target of 2.6km my legs didn't feel like part of my body any more.
Maybe I should have started with a less optimistic target?
