KPIs

This is what happens when you have a culture that is so focused on KPIs.

Even in the company I work, most people just care about achieving their own KPIs no matter the cost. It doesn't matter how they do it or who they affect, as long as at the end of the day their KPIs are met.

Personally, I think KPIs are rather stupid because they make people too lazy to work on anything that's not on expressly written down. Also people end up doing their work without a clue about what the bigger picture is. But then again, it's the only method I know that can be used to measure employee performance, so I guess it's here to stay.
