Every time one of these demonstrations take place, I have to ask: where is the fairness?

If a demonstrator gets injured, we'll never hear the end of it in our newspapers, radio, TV and on the web. We mope around about how we have become a communist-like country where police brutality is rampant.

But if a policeman gets injured, we turn a blind eye and say it's his duty. Or at most, we condemn the actions of "irresponsible" demonstrators, bla, bla, bla...

Are they not just as deserving of fairness as we are? Or is fairness a concept reserved only for selected people?
